Initial Hang And Focus

This can happen as soon as the set is available to the lighting designer, but MUST be completed before Cue to Cue.

The lights will be hung in the correct spot based on the Light Bar Plot and focused to the correct positions based on the Throw Plot. The lights will be linked to the appropriate dimmer pack and sliders on the board.

At a minimum, a Master Electrician, Lighting Designer, Lighting Board Operator should be present for the Initial Hang and Focus. The PSM and/or Director will sometimes be present as well, but should not be necessary.

The PSM will ensure the communication between the Director and the Lighting Designer runs smoothly, and that the Lighting Plot (Light Bar and Throw) is fully completed before Hang and Focus.
