Adding a New Production or Team

This is still very much a work in progress.

Productions and Teams are different from other namespaces like Thoughts or People, in that each entity receives its own child namespace rather than just a single page. This allows each production or team plenty of space to add their own content and media.

To add a new production or team, you will go to the Productions or Teams main (start) page and create a link to a new namespace rather than to a page.

• Go to the main (start) page and add the name of the new production or team
• Select the the name with your mouse
• Click on the click on the Insert Link (paperclip) option on the toolbar:
• In the Link Configuration popup window, do the following:
  • If the name is really long, create a shorter version for the Link target field
    • shorten The Lighting Thief - A Percy Jackson Musical into The Lighting Thief
    • shorten William Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors to Comedy of Errors
  • Add .: (period colon) to the front of the Link target and : (colon) to the end to identify that it's a child namespace
    • so you'd end up with .:The Lighting Thief: for the Link target
  • Click OK on the Link Configuration popup window

• And Save the page

At this point, you should have a link to the new production or team, but in red as it has not yet been created.

Copy the Productions or Teams template. details TBD

This will be used as the starting point for the new start page.

After you've created the link (now glowing red), click on it.

You will be presented with a page saying: This topic does not exist yet.

Click on Create this page in the right hand buttons. This will open up an edit page where you can create new namespace's start page.

Paste in the template that you just copied, and start making changes.
