So, you've gotten your user name & password and signed into the wiki. Now what?
Here's the quick version:
Toggle syntax ⬌ visual editor button.Save button. If it's disabled, see the previous step.If you are on a cell phone or small tablet, things look a lot different. We recommend that you make changes on a large screen or PC until you are really comfortable.
Yes! Go to the Playground page. You can make whatever changes you want to that page and it will not affect anything else. It's a great place to try things out and test things. If you see Page locked, that means the page is being edited by someone else. Give it an hour or so and try again.
If you want to “clean up” the Playground page after some heavy testing, use these steps.
The Edit This Page pencil icon looks like this:
If you don't see it, first take a look at the top of the page and confirm you are Logged in:.
If you see the Edit Draft icon
it means that you made changes but did not saved them. Click on the Edit Draft icon and decide if you want to continue or not.
When you edit a page, this is the way the editor should look…
This is the Visual or WYSIWYG editor.
If it looks like this, you are using the default Syntax editor.
Click the Toggle syntax ⬌ visual editor button to switch to the Visual editor. Your work will not be lost.
If you are editing a page and then decide not to make any changes, please click the Cancel button ( next to Save and Preview ). This allows the Wiki to release the hold you have on the page and allow others to edit it.
If you don't click Save or Cancel, it can take up to an hour or more before the page can be edited by anyone else.
