Is there a place where I can try things out?
Yes!
There is a playground page that you can trash to your heart's content. Any SVCT volunteer with edit capability can access it.
Playground Page
You can find the playground page here. You can try things out and experiment on this page without worry.
Playground Clean Up
If the Playground is really messed up, you can use the Old Revisions option to go back to a clean copy:
- look for the “GOOD COPY OF PLAYGROUND” revision
- click on the green Playground link next to it
- a nice copy of the page will be displayed with the words: This is an old revision of the document!
- click on Edit this page
in the Right Hand Buttons - start making your own changes -or- click the
Savebutton
The playground page is shared with everyone. If it's in use by someone else, try again in 20 to 30 minutes.
Playground Namespace
For advanced users, the playground: namespace is also available for you to try things out. The PlayGround page is located within the namespace at playground:playground. All we ask is that when you are done, please revert the playground:start and playground:playground pages back to the GOOD COPY…
If you're not sure what all this means, just use the Playground Page described above.
